Carmen Sancho Guinda is an Associate Professor in the Department of Applied Linguistics for Science and Technology at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, where she teaches English for academic and professional communication. Although she has been writing poetry for more than thirty years and, during her student years in the United States, she was taught by the great American poet Conrad Hilberry, she does not have a literary biography, but an academic one: all her publications to date have focused on linguistics and on teaching and learning languages for specific purposes. “Hedor de Ángel” is her first published poetry collection.
