Javier Recas Bayón (Madrid, 1961), is an aphorist, philosopher, and painter. He holds a Ph.D. in Philosophy from the Complutense University of Madrid, and has pursued extensive teaching and research activities. Notable among his numerous publications are the following, related to aphorism and the masters of the genre. Essays such as Flashes of Lucidity: The Art of Aphorism (2014); A Sharp and Graceful Miniature (2020, Romanian translation 2025); The Art of Lightness: Philosophy of Aphorism (2021); An Approach to Philosophical Aphorism (2024); and Life in a Stroke (2025).
